PJ Bottoms

While driving through Utah, Melissa and I found this really cute fabric. Since Melissa spends every summer weekend camping at a lake in Virginia, she thought some pjs in this material would be really cute. And I agree! So this morning I quickly made these bottoms for her. I hope they fit!

The label is the most important part :)

And the final result!!!

Cushion Creation

In my newly updated craft room, I had this shelf area that was too deep for books, but too high for sitting. So I decided to get a stool and create a sitting area anyway!

Since the dimensions aren't standard, I started with a queen size cushion, cut it in half, and it fit the space perfectly (while giving the cushion a bit more padding).

Now that the cushion is complete, I'll make a few throw pillows with matching fabric. I'm eager to post more updates as I get more work completed!

Setting up Craft Room

When I moved in, this extra bedroom had wallpaper I wasn't too keen on. I still set things up hoping it would grow on me... it hasn't. So this weekend I took to taking down the wallpaper, and painting the room "Manhattan Mist" - a name sure to inspire!

The painting is done - but I still have a few things to hang. All in all, I'm really happy with the results!

Dr Seuss Table

With my upcoming move to Denver, I wanted to turn my small IKEA table into something a little more fun and whimsical for my 2 year old niece. With my sisters help, I Dr Seuss is now in my living room!

Katy did such a great job with these smaller characters!

Route 66 Picnic Blanket

This project was started (and finished) as a Christmas present last year. Unfortunately, it was in my car when it was stolen over Thanksgiving, so the recipient received a slightly different version with the short time left. This one was so cute, though, and had such fun fabric!

Lots of ironing! I later realized this permanently burnt the dining table.

The final product, ready for some sunny weather and a park!

Matching Toddler/Doll Quilt

For Christmas this year, I wanted to make my niece Megan a matching quilt set for her and her doll. I found some cute Strawberry Shortcake squares on eBay and off I went!

Xmas Sewing Project

Here are the stages of my first big project! Luckily, I was able to visit in November to see that the Elf costume was way too big!

The costumes fit and look great (and are very comfy)!

Katy may love her costume a bit too much.... xoxo
