One can dream

Being in San Francisco (and burning my dining room table) has left me with many daydreams of a larger work area. Oh... IKEA.... how you make these dreams seem attainable.

First Posting

After being able to keep up with friends via Blog sites, I thought I'd finally create my own to keep family and friends in the goings-on of my life. My hope is to keep the creative side of me on this page and show the various crafts/projects I'm working on at any given time. Unfortunately, because some are gifts, they'll have to be posted after the fact :)

Since the sewing world is something new to me, I'll start today by posting the first project I worked on - sewing Mrs Claus and and Elf costume for my mom and sis.

7 Continent Quilt

My first quilt, and most likely the most sentimental. I spend many hours happily making mistakes on this one. The best part was going through all my old photo albums for pictures to use on a xmas quilt for my mom.

Even the fabric squares went perfectly with the theme!

The final product, prior to quilting (I gifted it without even taking a pic! I'll need to post it the next time I go home.)
